The ThermaCELL gadget as shown on the picture below is sold by many larges stores (Home Dépôt,Canadian Tire and Walmart) in the Montréal region. But you can find it a lot cheaper elsewhere.
You can get it in gray or khaki colors. The unit comes with one butane carthridge that last only 12 hours. The unit comes with 3 pads of insect repellent that last only 4 hours each. This means that after 12 hours of operation, you will have to buy a replacement butane carthridges and pads kit that will last 48 hours.

I can guarantee that this device works properly. I am not sure about bowhunting when the deer is only 20 meters away. However some hunters use this device with earth scents pads and they assure me that the deer don't detect them.
